Why this exists

Most calculator sites are hostile. Pop-ups, cookie walls, three ad slots above the answer, and a result you have to scroll past a thousand words of filler to find. NWS Calc is the opposite: the calculator is the first thing on the page, it works immediately, and the explanation sits underneath for when you actually want it.

How it works

Every calculator is plain JavaScript that runs in your browser. There is no server doing the maths, which means there is no request carrying your numbers anywhere. Close the tab and nothing remains. It also means the calculators stay fast and keep working on a bad connection.
